The Pastor accused of raping a minor will be appearing before the Mkhuhlu Magistrates court today, Wednesday for bail judgment. Promise Shabangu (39) made his last court appearance on Thursday last week but his matter was postponed to today.
Shabangu is accused of sexually molesting a 15-year-old girl, one of his congregants. It is alleged that Shabangu raped the girl and gave her R100 and a calculator.
The community wishes that Shabangu can be denied bail and be remanded in custody until he finishes the whole case
The community’s anger towards the accused is clear, and they are demanding that justice be served, meanwhile some of his congregants are also in attendance in support of their pastor.
