The Department of Labor is offering free employment counselling services to assist work-seekers in South Africa. The program provides guidance on job readiness, applications, interview skills and more.

Experts say the counselling equips job hunters with valuable skills for finding and securing work. It teaches how to effectively search for openings, tailor applications, polish resumes, interview successfully and thrive in the workplace.

Labor Dept. Director Ms. Onke Mjosays quality career guidance gives citizens the tools to obtain meaningful employment. The counselling sessions build confidence and capacity to help clients reach their full potential.

Mjo urges all seeking jobs to use the department’s resources and counsellors. She says their expertise and support will empower any citizen to find a fulfilling career.

With high unemployment plaguing South Africa, the Labor Dept.’s employment counselling provides critical aid on the path to employment. By teaching essential job-hunting skills, the program hopes to connect citizens with decent work opportunities.
