The JG Zuma Foundation has confirmed that former African National Congress (ANC) President Jacob Zuma will appear virtually before the ANC’s National Disciplinary Committee of Appeals on Wednesday. This appearance is part of his appeal against the disciplinary process and its outcomes, which led to his expulsion in July.

The foundation states that Zuma, represented by ANC member Tony Yengeni, will challenge the process followed by the committee. Yengeni has been instructed to request a physical, public hearing for the appeal, as well as to submit preliminary objections that must be addressed before the appeal on the merits proceeds.

The disciplinary process in July resulted in the former ANC leader’s expulsion, a decision he is now seeking to overturn. Zuma’s legal team argues that aspects of the original proceedings were flawed, warranting a thorough review.
